The Next Ubuntu will be 12.10. Ubuntu 12.10 code named Quantal Quetzal. Ubuntu 12.10 will be released on the end of october 2012. The date planned now is 25th October 2012.
12.10 Ubuntu and knew the release schedule. The new version will correspond a name that began with the letter “Q”, and finally Mark Shuttleworth announced the code name for Ubuntu 12.10 is quantal Quetzal, taken from a multicolored bird that lives in tropical rainforests. Ubuntu 12.10 Features
The Ubuntu 12.10 will appear in October this year will focus on the quality and color. There is nothing much revealed about the features of ubuntu 12.10 but some indications about the upcoming changes are here.
The interface of Ubuntu 12.10 quantal Quetzal will be renewed. Fonts, icons and default theme will be changed. The brown color disappears. We will also see changes in the default applications for distribution. So Ubuntu team is planning for a radical change in the interface and the quality of applications included in ubuntu 12.10
