Installing Gnome shell on Ubuntu 11.10 – Oneiric Ocelot

Open Terminal -> for that just press CTRL+ALT+T  and type the following command.

sudo apt-get install gnome-shell

Alternatively, you can also install gnome shell from Ubuntu Software Center, just search for ‘Gnome shell’ in ubuntu software center and click on install. That is all
